Community Leadership Alliance’s comprehensive approach involves various stakeholders working together to find innovative sustainable solutions that promote the overall well-being of South Phoenix residents.<\/p>\n
Community infrastructures are vital for creating a viable, prosperous, and sustainable environment for people to be born, live, socialize, attend school, grow, develop, and work. Healthy community infrastructures offer essential services and systems that foster economic development, promote social cohesion, and improve residents’ overall quality of life. Economic policies and strategies, development agendas, social norms, social policies, access to quality health care and education, and political systems co-exist to ensure that public health and humanitarian programs promote healthy community infrastructures. Residents in healthy community infrastructures benefit in the following areas:<\/p>\n

Unhealthy community infrastructures manifest due to historical discriminatory factors within economic policies and strategies, development agendas, social norms, social policies, racism, poor access to quality schools, poor access to quality health care, and political systems. The byproduct of discriminatory practices is long-term harmful community infrastructures that reinforce inequity and inequity. People who live in communities with poor infrastructure face numerous challenges and disadvantages that significantly impact their daily lives and overall well-being.<\/p>\n

South Phoenix community infrastructure is unhealthy due to historical housing racism, predatory loans, unfair justice systems, redlining, segregation, limited access to quality health care, food deserts, high crime rates, limited access to quality early childhood education, policing, and racial profiling by police, stole land in the name of eminent domain, poor economic development, limit diversion and family reunification programs, and injustice criminal system that’s overpopulated with poor and people of color. <\/span><\/p>\n Community Leadership Alliance sends out the CALL TO ACTION to create partnerships that will help strengthen South Phoenix Community Infrastructure. <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/b><\/p>\n Elements of the Asset Based Development model are used to identify assets, locate supports that strengthen assets, and implement innovative plans to improve the support. Assets are essential to a community because they are foundational building blocks. <\/span><\/p>\n Direct Impact Solutions are financial, in-kind, and material resources used to improve South Phoenix assets. Community Leadership Alliance will locate support in financial assistance, in-kind, and human capital to address social determinants of health. <\/span><\/p>\n Partnership Funding- Partners who donate funds directly to identify target areas.
